Alpha Tau Omega - Arkle House
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Preserving the integrity of one of the nation's oldest ATO chapters while meeting building code requirements helps maintain the house's membership in the Society for the Preservation of Greek Housing.
Associated with ATO's University of Illinois Gamma Zeta Chapter since 1987, Gorski Reifsteck Architects has completed numerous preservation projects on the Thomas Arkle House. ATO's affiliation with the Society for the Preservation of Greek Housing qualifies it for tax-free donations from members and national organization to support historic preservation of Arkle House.
Gorski Reifsteck Architects also has served as construction manager on behalf of the house for many of the projects, including new roofing and a concealed sprinkler system, as well as various repairs required for compliance with local codes.
