The bank's new design allows bank officers to see the lobby from their offices, creating not only a more customer-friendly space, but also a more secure facility.
Busey Bank
St. Joseph, Illinois
Busey Bank's St. Joseph facility didn't meet bank and customer needs for handicapped accessibility, conference space or drive-up lane configuration.
Gorski Reifsteck Architects remedied these concerns with a virtually new structure. Entrances at each end of the building, designed primarily of glass and with modern roof lines, offer a welcoming presence. A reconfigured quarter-circle teller area allows front-line personnel to see customers using all of the building entrances. A new conference and waiting space, conveniently located street side, is constructed almost entirely of glass, with special consideration to deflecting heat gain in the summer months.
An entirely new configuration of double-stacked lanes solved the facility's long-standing drive-up difficulties and allows concurrent processing of four transactions. Video communication capability with drive-up customers is also new.
